Details
Expanding Minecraft's ranged combat with new enchantments, specialised arrows, configurable projectile physics, a Quiver, a Fletching Table update, and much more.
What does it add?
Enchantments
Ricochet (I–V)
Make your arrows bounce off solid blocks!
- Each level allows one additional bounce.
- Arrows lose velocity after each bounce.
- Velocity loss can be changed in the configuration.
Overdraw (I/II)
Charge your bow beyond its normal draw limit for a more powerful shot!
-
Continue charging after the bow reaches full draw.
-
Damage increases while overcharging.
-
Excessive overcharging can:
- Damage the player.
- Damage the bow.
- Automatically fire the shot.
-
Damage, durability loss, and auto-fire behaviour can be configured.
Longshot (I)
Deal more damage when firing from a distance.
Damage increases based on how far the arrow has travelled:
- 16 blocks: 1.5× damage
- 32 blocks: 2× damage
- 48 blocks: 2.5× damage
- 64+ blocks: 3× damage
These values can be changed for balancing.
Fracture (I/II)
Split an arrow into multiple arrows while in flight!
- The number of child arrows scales with enchantment level.
- Splitting is affected by arrow speed.
- I: Spawns 2 child arrows.
- II: Spawns 3 child arrows.
- Split angle and timing can be configured.
Enchant is disabled by default.
Burst (I–III)
Fire multiple arrows in rapid succession!
- Additional arrows are fired with a short delay between each shot.
- Spawns +1 arrow per enchantment level.
- Each additional shot consumes ammunition and durability appropriately.
- Burst arrows use the same projectile system as normal arrows.
Headshot (I–III)
Reward accurate shots with bonus damage!
- Detects hits against a configurable region around an entity's eyes.
- Works with any
LivingEntity, including modded entities. - Applies additional damage after vanilla critical-hit calculations.
- Optional particle and sound feedback.
- Includes separate configurable PvE and PvP damage bonuses.
Enchant is experimental and disabled by default.
Arrows
Custom Arrow System
All bow, crossbow, and dispenser shots use Archery Revamped's custom arrow entity while preserving vanilla projectile behaviour.
- Preserves vanilla projectile velocity.
- Preserves critical hits.
- Preserves pickup behaviour.
- Preserves fire and piercing data.
- Preserves weapon damage.
- Custom projectile data persists through saving and chunk unloading.
- Works with bows, crossbows, and dispensers.
Ender Arrow
Teleport wherever your arrow lands!
- Teleports the shooter to a safe position at the impact location.
- Includes safety checks to prevent invalid teleports.
- Works with bows, crossbows, and dispensers.
Shockwave Arrow
Push nearby entities away from the impact!
- Applies force to entities around the landing point.
- Force decreases with distance.
- Players receive a stronger force response.
- Radius and strength are configurable.
- Crafted using Wind Charges.
Impulse Arrow
Pull nearby entities towards the impact!
- Applies inward force around the landing point.
- Force decreases with distance.
- Players receive a stronger force response.
- Radius and strength are configurable.
- Crafted using Iron Nuggets.
Explosive Arrow
An arrow carrying a rather unfriendly payload!
- Explodes on impact.
- Explosion size is configurable.
- Optional anti-grief protection prevents blocks from being destroyed while retaining entity damage.
- Works with bows, crossbows, and dispensers.
Tidal Arrow
A specialised arrow designed for aquatic combat!
- Uses normal air movement with slightly increased gravity.
- Maintains its speed underwater.
- Emits bubbles underwater.
- Spins like a torpedo while underwater.
- Crafted using a Heart of the Sea.
Shattering Arrow
Break an arrow into a shower of amethyst shards!
- Shatters on impact.
- Creates individual small amethyst shard projectiles.
- The original arrow remains collectible after hitting a block.
- Crafted using Amethyst Shards.
Echo Arrow
Bring a little bit of the Deep Dark with you!
- Applies 5 seconds of Darkness when it kills an entity.
- Spreads sculk around the lethal impact.
- Only converts existing solid ground.
- Does not fill air or replace grass and flowers.
- Crafted using Echo Shards.
Quiver
Quiver
Carry your arrows without filling your entire inventory!
- Stores up to 9 complete stacks of arrows.
- The selected arrow type takes priority over normal inventory arrows.
- Uses Bundle-style storage and retrieval.
- Stored arrow stacks are organised clockwise.
Storage
The Quiver works similarly to a Bundle:
- Hold an arrow stack on your cursor and click the Quiver to store it.
- Arrow stacks are stored in the next available slot clockwise.
- Hold the Quiver on your cursor and right-click an empty inventory slot to retrieve its next stored stack.
Arrow Selection
Use the radial selector to choose which stored arrow type is active:
- V opens the selector.
- Q / E cycle through stored arrow types.
- V confirms your selection.
Physics Settings
Arrow Physics
Change how arrows behave in flight!
- Change arrow gravity.
- Change arrow drag.
- Change overall projectile speed.
- Change firing randomness/spread.
- Change maximum falling speed / terminal velocity.
- Change how long arrows remain active.
- Change Ricochet velocity loss.
Default settings remain close to vanilla Minecraft.
Shockwave & Impulse
Both force-based arrows use:
- Configurable effect radius.
- Configurable strength.
- Distance-based force falloff.
- Stronger force against players.
- A short random 2–5 tick impact delay.
Fletching Table
Custom Fletching Table
The vanilla Fletching Table finally has a proper use!
Using a Fletching Table opens Archery Revamped's custom crafting interface.
- Uses two input slots.
- Place arrows in the first slot.
- Place a recognised modifier in the second slot.
- The result is shown as a virtual preview.
- Nothing is consumed until the output is clicked.
- Closing the GUI returns the real input stacks.
- The preview cannot be duplicated.
- Supports optional modded
ArrowIteminputs. - The GUI texture can be customised.
Special Arrow Recipes
| Input | Modifier | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 4 Arrows | Ender Pearl | 4 Ender Arrows |
| 4 Arrows | Wind Charge | 4 Shockwave Arrows |
| 4 Arrows | Iron Nugget | 4 Impulse Arrows |
| 4 Arrows | Gunpowder | 4 Explosive Arrows |
| 4 Arrows | Heart of the Sea | 4 Tidal Arrows |
| 4 Arrows | Amethyst Shard | 4 Shattering Arrows |
| 4 Arrows | Echo Shard | 4 Echo Arrows |
Tipped Arrows
Tipped Arrows can also be created using the Fletching Table.
- Combine 8 Arrows with a Potion.
- Produces 8 matching Tipped Arrows.
- Potion effects are preserved correctly.
- Tipped-arrow conversion is exclusive to the Fletching Table.
Normal crafting tables only create standard vanilla arrows.
Trajectory Visualisation
Trajectory Debugging
See exactly where your arrows are going!
- Shows a live pre-shot aiming preview.
- Shows the actual path travelled by fired arrows.
- Predicts the arrow's future path.
- Predicts block and entity impacts.
- Predicts Ricochet bounces.
- Trails remain connected through ricochets.
- Older trail sections fade away first.
- Finished trails fade out after around 10 seconds.
- Uses depth-aware rendering instead of particles.
- Can be enabled or disabled with commands.
Velocity Colour Visualisation
Visualise an arrow's speed along its trajectory!
- Faster arrows appear red.
- Slower arrows appear blue.
- Transitions smoothly between speeds.
- Disabled by default.
- Can be enabled or disabled in configuration.
